Nonprofits Invited to Apply to Bishop's Charitable Assistance Fund

MANCHESTER, NH – Grant applications are now being accepted by the Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund (BCAF) of the Diocese of Manchester, the Roman Catholic Church in New Hampshire, for its Winter review cycle. Completed applications are due by close of business on Wednesday, December 13. Online applications are available on the Diocesan website at www.catholicnh.org/BCAF or http://bit.ly/bcafgrants.

The BCAF accepts applications from 501(c)(3) organizations in New Hampshire, without regard to religious affiliation, for projects that help people meet basic needs. It has currently awarded $61,000 in grants to 19 nonprofit organizations that applied for funding during the Fall review cycle.

The BCAF is operated by a volunteer lay board of directors that makes recommendations to the Bishop of Manchester for grants to any organization in New Hampshire whose mission is consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and that meet the grant guidelines. The Fund is supported by donations from individuals, businesses, and philanthropic organizations.
