Principal Positions

Head of School
Salve Regina Academy, Gorham, NH

Vision
Salve Regina Academy is an authentically Catholic community of lifelong learners dedicated to discovering all that is Good, True, and Beautiful through a commitment to academic excellence and personal discipleship in the holistic tradition of Catholic education.

Mission
Students, faculty, and staff of Salve Regina Academy strive together to know, love, and serve God as we commit ourselves to the study of the world around us, to the imitation of Jesus, and to all the teachings of the Catholic Church under the Queenship of Mary, our Mother.

Philosophy
At Salve Regina Academy, the ancient practice of ora et labora (prayer and work) takes shape as the Faith is integrated into the daily undertakings of students, faculty, and staff. The work of children is to wonder at the beauty of the created universe--which they engage through diligent and active study of the arts, history, math, science, literature, and theology--and to recognize the unique dignity of human beings in that universe. The work of faculty and staff is to support the work of each individual student in a way that is reflective and respectful of that human dignity, by encouraging critical thinking, creativity, awe, and virtue.

The Position
Salve Regina Academy is a new Parish School opening in September 2019. Born out of the community’s desire for an alternative to public schools and a longing to educate students in what is good, true, and beautiful, the initial school planning committee was formed in 2017. The new school was announced on April 28, and within a week, the school surpassed its registration goals and currently has a waitlist.

This new parish school is connected to the parish communities of both Good Shepherd and Holy Family, of which Fr. Kyle Stanton is pastor. The committee now seeks a highly motivated, faith-filled Head of School.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader who has the desire to provide Catholic education at its very best. Recognizing the commitment that both the school planning committee and the pastor have made in making this school a reality, the new Head of School must be capable of continuing the excitement and momentum- internally and externally and have an ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders. Candidates must be practicing Catholics, hold a Master’s Degree in Administration, Education, or related field, have experience in a school, and hold or be eligible for NH State Certification. The Head of School will join a dedicated faculty and staff in promoting an exceptional education and ongoing spiritual formation.

Qualified candidates complete the Administrator’s Application and submit it along with supporting documents.

Principal
St. Benedict Academy, Manchester, NH

Saint Benedict Academy, an elementary school for approximately 150 students, originally opened as Saint Raphael School for Grades K-8 to serve parishes on Manchester’s West Side. Instruction was first under the direction of the Benedictine Sisters of Elizabeth, N.J., and later by the Religious Sisters of Mercy, as well as many devoted lay teachers. In the 1970s, faced with a declining number of religious sisters, mounting costs and eroding enrollment, the school was made part of the diocesan system as West Side Catholic Regional School. The school was renamed Saint Benedict Academy in 2003.

Currently, St. Benedict Academy, deeply rooted in its Catholic faith, fosters the spiritual development, academic excellence, and a commitment to serve students in grades Pre-K through six. The faculty, staff, and administration, because of their deep understanding of Christ's Gospel message, are deeply committed to the mission and philosophy of the school.

A successful candidate will be a highly motivated educational leader who has the desire to provide Catholic education at its very best. Candidates must be practicing Catholics; hold a Master’s Degree in Administration or Education; have a minimum of five years’ experience in a Catholic school; and hold or be eligible for NH State Certification. The principal will join a dedicated faculty and staff in promoting an exceptional education and ongoing spiritual formation.
