Saint Christopher Academy, a PreK-3 through Grade 8 Catholic school, officially opened on July 1, 2020. It represents a unification of the former St. Christopher School (Grades PreK through 6) and Nashua Catholic Regional Junior High School (Grades 7-8), combining the rich history and strengths of these schools, as well as the former Infant Jesus School (Grades PreK through 6) which previously closed in 2019.

Saint Christopher Academy, a growing PK-8 school, is currently seeking enthusiastic teachers to join their outstanding faculty in a variety of rewarding teaching positions. Unique among Catholic schools in New Hampshire, Saint Chris is housed on two separate but nearby campuses. The lower campus serves pre-k through grade 5 and the upper campus houses grades 6, 7 and 8.   • Design fine arts curriculum for prek-8 Catholic education program including creative art involving modes of expression that use skill or imagination in the creation of aesthetic objects, environments, or experiences that can be shared with others. Traditional categories within the arts include literature (poetry, drama, story, and so on), visual arts (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.), graphic arts (painting, drawing, design, and other forms expressed on flat surfaces), the plastic arts (sculpture, modeling), the decorative arts (enamelwork, furniture design, mosaic, etc.), performing arts (theatre, dance, music), music (as composition).
  • Inspire artistic expression through art instruction at Cardinal Lacroix Academy and St. Joseph Regional Jr. High School (essentially prek-8) for 2.5 days per week.
  • Coordinate fine arts and STEM enrichment opportunities for all daytime, after-school, and summer programming.
  • Work with Manchester School District and principal to write and execute Title 4 and Title 2 grants and other community resources to develop programming, including bringing in speakers, guest artists, purchase of materials, selecting and collaborating with instructors, etc.

Elementary and Secondary Level Instructional Coach

Part-Time Special Education Teacher

Small, Catholic elementary school K-6 seeking part-time special educator to work with directly students, faculty, administration and families as part of a team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assesses students’ skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans
  • Adapts lessons to meet the needs of students
  • Develops Student Accommodation Plans for students and works with families and teachers for implementation, monitoring and tracking progress

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required with major study in Education or a closely related field.

Experience: Teaching experience with elementary aged students.

License/Certification: Teacher Certification in special education.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS:

The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of teaching methods, the use of instructional materials and research-based strategies for use with students with special needs. Ability to evaluate student progress and provide guidance to both students and teachers. Ability to work with and secure the cooperation of others. Ability to work with a team and to collaborate in the development of programs, policies, and procedures. Ability to work effectively with outside resources, community organizations, and sending schools. Ability to originate and implement new programs related to students with special needs and to improve any existing programs. Must be a flexible thinker, a cooperative team player and able to work independently and as a team member. Must be knowledgeable about the laws regarding special education and be a willing advocate for the student. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and resourcefulness. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority. Perform other related duties as assigned.
