Saint Christopher Academy, a PreK-3 through Grade 8 Catholic school, officially opened on July 1, 2020. It represents a unification of the former St. Christopher School (Grades PreK through 6) and Nashua Catholic Regional Junior High School (Grades 7-8), combining the rich history and strengths of these schools, as well as the former Infant Jesus School (Grades PreK through 6) which previously closed in 2019.

Saint Christopher Academy is seeking a dynamic 7th and 8th grade math teacher for Pre-Algebra, Algebra and STEM related activities. Saint Christopher Academy, a growing PK-8 school, is currently seeking enthusiastic teachers to join their outstanding faculty in a variety of rewarding teaching positions. Unique among Catholic schools in New Hampshire, Saint Chris is housed on two separate but nearby campuses. The lower campus serves pre-k through grade 5 and the upper campus houses grades 6, 7 and 8. Students move seamlessly between campuses, while keeping distinctly different, age-appropriate experiences provided by an exceptional and caring faculty.

Due to increasing enrollment in our school, as well as retirements of longtime teachers, we will fill a number of positions on both campuses. In general, each teacher is responsible for several classes of 20-25 students.   • Music (part-time) sign-on bonus -- This individual will teach prekindergarten through grade 5 students on a weekly basis. Classes take place in the dedicated music room in the separate Fine Arts Center on campus. Topics covered include music appreciation, reading music, and creating music with a variety of instruments.

Upper Campus:

  • Grade 7/8 English & Literature (full-time) sign-on bonus -- This individual will work within a small team to improve student writing and reading skills through the reinforcement of grammar skills and vocabulary, the introduction of a variety of writing forms and basic research skills, and the exploration of a variety of literature genres. Courses are leveled on the basis of placement tests.

Part-Time Special Education Teacher
Saint Benedict Academy, Manchester, NH

Small, Catholic elementary school K-6 seeking part-time special educator to work with directly students, faculty, administration and families as part of a team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assesses students’ skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans
  • Adapts lessons to meet the needs of students
  • Develops Student Accommodation Plans for students and works with families and teachers for implementation, monitoring and tracking progress
  • Plans, organizes, and assigns activities that are specific to each student’s abilities
  • Teaches and mentors students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one
  • Updates Student Accommodation Plans throughout the school year to reflect students’ progress and goals
  • Discusses student’s progress with parents, teachers, administrators, and relevant professionals within and outside of school related to the student’s case
  • Prepares and helps students transition from grade to grade and after 6th grade completion
  • Works with sending school district in meetings, for planning, reviewing assessments and plans

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required with major study in Education or a closely related field.

Experience: Teaching experience with elementary aged students.

License/Certification: Teacher Certification in special education.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS:

The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of teaching methods, the use of instructional materials and research-based strategies for use with students with special needs. Ability to evaluate student progress and provide guidance to both students and teachers. Ability to work with and secure the cooperation of others. Ability to work with a team and to collaborate in the development of programs, policies, and procedures. Ability to work effectively with outside resources, community organizations, and sending schools. Ability to originate and implement new programs related to students with special needs and to improve any existing programs. Must be a flexible thinker, a cooperative team player and able to work independently and as a team member. Must be knowledgeable about the laws regarding special education and be a willing advocate for the student. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and resourcefulness. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities: Boys Varsity Baseball Head Coach has the following responsibilities and duties:

  • Shows leadership and sportsmanship attributes necessary to develop character and manage the program while continuously seeking improvement.
  • Shows concern for student health and safety by providing appropriate supervision before, during, and after practices and games and taking ownership of equipment maintenance.

Part-Time School Nurse
