Sacred Heart School is the parish school of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish in Hampton, New Hampshire. Assistant Principal

Saint Christopher Academy, a PreK-3 through Grade 8 Catholic school, officially opened on July 1, 2020. Part-Time Art Instructor

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Academic Coach
Bishop Brady High School, Nashua, NH

The Academic Coach works in partnership with students, parents and staff to support students in their quest to achieve academic success.

Students with 504’s and IEP’s are assisted based upon their specific needs. Classroom teachers are provided with resources as they work to meet the needs of students in the classroom. Students can access the academic coach during study hall, activity periods, and before or after school. Virtual sessions are also available.

Individualized coaching sessions are tailored to the specific needs of each student, including high achieving students looking to “up their game”, as well as struggling students in need of greater support. Special attention is given to the development of executive function skills including organization, time and energy management, task initiation and completion, goal-setting and prioritization, effective study strategies, increasing attention and focus, and active reading strategies.

Orientation programs are held for freshmen at the start of the school year. These sessions focus on key elements of school success; motivation and finding value in your learning experiences, utilizing tools to be successful, how to have success inside the classroom, and how to manage your time and workload.

The Academic Coach also offers Jump Start; a summer program for interested incoming students, designed to help them prepare for the academic demands of high school. Areas of focus during the 12-hour program include; creating a mindset for success, organization and time management skills, effective study strategies, methods of note taking from a lecture and a text, and critical reading and comprehension strategies.

The position is anticipated to be three days per week but could become full time based on need.
