The Bishop of Manchester teaches, sanctifies, and governs the Roman Catholic Church in New Hampshire.

The bishop is served by several priests who serve as his vicars. The bishop is assisted administratively by his cabinet who serve as his principal administrative assistants.

Several consultative and advisory groups assist the bishop in fulfilling his duties as diocesan bishop.
