Tending a Garden
Whether in a container or in the ground, consider a Mary Garden or visit the St. Kateri Conservation Center website

Take an “Awed Walk”
Need a little inspiration? Global Catholic Climate Movement suggests that the next time you take a walk outside, note things that spark a sense of wonder or awe. Use your senses and notice tree colors or leaves underfoot softened by rain. “Awed” walks can be a healing experience, and increase one’s sense of joy, compassion and gratitude – as well as a strong sense of the presence of God in all the works of his Creation

Garden Blessing
God of life and growth,
bless each seed and plant we will place in this garden.
Help each one to take root and grow abundantly.
The enormous variety in this and other gardens
is a visible reminder of the wonder of your creative power.
We pray for rain to nourish the earth and for sun to bring the plants to maturity.
May the flowers and produce of all gardens
bring beauty to our daily lives and feed your people,
providing food for the table and strength for the journey ahead.
Give us strength and wisdom as we care for the earth and all creation.
May this garden bear good fruit and give glory to your name, Holy Trinity,
as we celebrate, with love, the opportunity to share in your care for all you have made.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen

Laudato Si’ Chaplet
“Laudato Si’ Mi Signore” means, “Praise Be to You Oh Lord”. These are the opening words of St. Francis of Assisi’s prayer, The Canticle of the Sun). It calls us to understand that through the many creatures and resources on earth, we can give God praise for this gift of his love … Creation. Pray the Laudato Si' Chaplet.
