White Mass 2018

The White Mass is a special opportunity to ask God’s blessings for healthcare professionals and to affirm the profound service they give to the sick according to the model of Jesus Christ.

2019 White Mass

The Annual White Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at St. Joseph Cathedral, Corner of Pine and Lowell Streets, Manchester, NH at 6:00 p.m. All are invited to attend.

Following the White Mass, the Guild will recognize the recipient of the St. Martin de Porres Award, which is awarded annually by the Guild to an individual who has exemplified the virtues of Catholic healthcare in her or his career as a healthcare professional. Information on the criteria for the award and how to submit a nomination are outlined below. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 1, 2019.

Call for Nominations

The New Hampshire Guild of Catholic Healthcare Professionals has issued a call for nominations for its annual Saint Martin de Porres Award. Qualifying criteria is provided below.

Presentation of the award will be made by Bishop Libasci during a reception immediately following the Annual “White Mass” for Catholic Healthcare Professionals.

The White Mass will be held at St. Joseph Cathedral, Manchester, NH, on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 6:00 pm. All Catholic healthcare professionals are invited to attend.

Purpose of the Saint Martin de Porres Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual who has exemplified the virtues of Catholic healthcare in her or his career as a healthcare professional.


Any Catholic healthcare professional in the Diocese of Manchester

Nomination Criteria

  1. Nominee is a health care professional
  2. Nominee is a Catholic in good standing
  3. Nominee is a champion of Catholic health care in her or his work
  4. Nominee shows compassion for and selfless dedication to the sick
  5. Nominee demonstrates care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit
  6. Nominee reflects the love of God in caring for the sick

Nomination Letters

Please describe in detail the reasons why the individual being nominated meets the Saint Martin de Porres Award criteria. Please include the nominee’s contact information in the letter.
