This message describes the work that we have been doing over the last several months on four bills that have been undergoing study by legislative committees during the course of the summer and fall. The bills concern Education Savings Accounts, the legalization of marijuana, the decriminalization of sex work, and State collection of statistics on abortions.

Recently, the New Hampshire Legislature marked what is known as “Crossover” – the deadline by which the House and Senate must complete all hearings and votes. Bills that have passed the House now have been sent to the Senate, and bills that have passed the Senate have been sent to the House. Now that we have moved into the second half of the session, it is a good time to provide you with a summary of the legislation we have been following as well as notes on how you can take action on the bills that remain.
