CMC - Our Lady of Einsiedeln

On the occasion of the First Anniversary of the partnership between HCA Healthcare and Catholic Medical Center, a newly carved statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary is to be enshrined in the lobby of Catholic Medical Center. On Sunday, February 1, 2026, the first day of the First Anniversary, the statue will be on view at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rosary and prayers will be offered after the 8:30 and 10:30 AM Masses in the Cathedral (the 10:30 AM Mass will also be a celebration of this First Anniversary). The statue will remain there and on February 8, 9 and 10 there will be Rosary and devotions at 5:00 PM. On Wednesday, February 11, the Feast of the World Day of Prayer for the Sick, after prayers at 11:30 AM the statue will be borne in a motorcade from the Cathedral to Catholic Medical Center and there enshrined in the Main Lobby of the hospital. A letter of recognition from the Abbot of the Abbey of Einsiedeln, Switzerland will be read at that time.

Please let us know if you will be participating in the motorcade by filling out this short form.

A Prayer in Time of Need

Our Lady holds in her right hand
the distaff with thread
to be spun into cloth.
She holds the distaff as a scepter,
not of earthly power,
but a scepter of grace and peace for
the Prince of Peace.

The child Jesus is held in her left arm while he himself holds in his hand a small bird (as an adult He will say, “You are worth more than a flock of sparrows”). Grace, peace, careful tenderness, the divine presence and even a safe and comforting presence reflect the very essence of this partnership of HCA Healthcare-Catholic Medical Center.

“Blessed Lady of Einsiedeln, our mother and intercessor, move your scepter of grace and peace over this hospital, its doctors, nurses, its entire staff and all those who come through these doors. AND IN A SPECIAL WAY, MOST BLESSED LADY, REMEMBER _____(personal intention)______ and grant strength and comfort to all who seek your intercession.”

“Our Lady of Einsiedeln, pray for us”
