Whole Community Catechesis & Effective Social Media
On August 21, nearly eighty parish staff members gathered at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Derry for a professional development day.
The morning session on Whole Community Catechesis was presented by the staff at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. They discussed how they started their program, challenges and successes faced through the years, what the program looks like today, and the positive impact it has had on their parish community.
Raphael Bastek and Annie Wade, from the Diocese of Manchester Communications Department, presented the afternoon session on Effective Social Media. They highlighted social media best practices, methods and strategies for scheduling content, examples of successful content, the difference in paid advertising vs. organic reach, and more.
