Trinity High School Holds Fitness Center Grand Opening
Made Possible by The Zoo Health Club

MANCHESTER, NH – Trinity High School students now have access to a new on-campus Fitness Center as part of the school’s 45,000 square foot expansion and renovation project, thanks to The Zoo Health Club’s donation of $125,000 worth of fitness equipment.

The Zoo Health Club Co-owners Ed Baroody and Julian Pecorino helped to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Fitness Center with Nathan Stanton, President of Trinity High School and St. Joseph Junior High School, and school staff, last week.

“It is an important part of The Zoo Health Club’s mission to have regular and continuous community outreach programs to support health and fitness in the community. The Zoo currently has ten locations in New Hampshire, with two of the locations in Manchester,” Baroody says. “When the opportunity arose to support the students of Trinity High School, we gladly took advantage of it as an opportunity to greatly contribute to the youth of Manchester.”

The Fitness Room is open to all Trinity High School students, grades 9-12. For the remainder of this school year, students will have access to it after school each day. Trinity High School is also working with its partners at Safe Sports to design programming for its sports programs, focusing on strengthening and conditioning, injury prevention and agility. The new Fitness Center will support these efforts and help staff and coaches implement student workouts throughout the school year and summer vacation.

“We are grateful for our partnership with The Zoo Health Club and its dedication to improving access to fitness opportunities for our students,” Stanton says. “The excitement and gratitude in our students and faculty about this development is special to witness. It’s also an important milestone in the progress of our expansion and renovation project that is moving steadily forward.”

Located adjacent to Trinity High School, St. Joseph Junior High School will open this fall for the 2024-25 school year. It will have its own separate wing while uniting the two schools on one campus for a 7-12 grade experience. The expansion and renovation of Trinity High School also includes enhanced technology in classrooms, new science and robotics labs and the addition of a media center. Both schools are accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges.
