Bishop Libasci Issues St. Patrick's Day Dispensation

MANCHESTER, NH - Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester, the Roman Catholic Church in New Hampshire, has granted Catholics dispensation from Abstinence from Meat on Friday, March 17, in recognition of St. Patrick’s Day. This applies to all state residents and visitors.

This year, St. Patrick’s Feast Day falls on a Friday during Lent, the 40-day penitential period before Easter when Catholics aged 14 to 60 must abstain from eating meat on Fridays.
