Rev. A. Albert Bellefeuille Called to His Rest

On January 21, 2017, the Reverend A. Albert Bellefeuille was called to his rest and to the glory of the Resurrection promised by the Lord. He was 88 years old.

Father Bellefeuille was born on February 23, 1928 in Berlin, New Hampshire and was ordained a priest on June 12, 1954 by the Most Reverend Matthew F. Brady, D.D., at Saint Joseph Cathedral in Manchester. Father Bellefeuille studied at Saint Thomas College, CT, then he completed his ecclesiastical studies at Saint Mary Seminary in Baltimore, MD.

Father Bellefeuille was first assigned as Chaplain to Saint Peter Orphanage, Manchester. He served as associate pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Laconia; Saint Anne Parish in Berlin where he also taught Latin part-time at Notre Dame High School; Holy Rosary Parish in Rochester and Saint George Parish, Manchester.

Father Bellefeuille was appointed pastor of Saint Brendan Parish in Colebrook where he served for 37 years until he retired. In retirement, Father Bellefeuille remained actively engaged in parish ministry at Saint Brendan Parish until poor health forced him to relocate.

On Saturday, January 28, 2017, Father Bellefeuille will lie in repose at Saint Joseph Cathedral, 145 Lowell Street, Manchester, N.H. at 9:00 a.m. followed immediately at 11:00a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial with The Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester, as celebrant. The Rite of Committal will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Berlin, New Hampshire. The Connor Healy Funeral Home at 537 Union Street in Manchester, New Hampshire has care of the arrangements.
