FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2025 Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund Campaign
Raises $160,000
Dick and Kay Doyle of Londonderry Honored at Summer Reception

MANCHESTER, NH, September 17, 2025 – Approximately 200 guests attended the recent 2025 Bishop’s Summer Reception to benefit the Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund (BCAF), contributing $160,000 to assist the BCAF in its grantmaking efforts to nonprofit organizations in New Hampshire. Since its inception 40 years ago, the BCAF has raised and distributed nearly $8 million to support organizations that improve the quality of life and provide basic essentials for individuals and families statewide.

During the program, the Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, D.D., Bishop of Manchester, the Roman Catholic Church in New Hampshire, recognized Dick and Kay Doyle of Londonderry with the eleventh annual Vita et Caritas Award (For Life and Love Award). Given in memory of the late Ruthie Ford, the award celebrates volunteers who demonstrate exceptional service to a nonprofit organization assisting women, children and/or families.

The Doyles have served as the coordinators of the St. Jude Parish Food Pantry since it opened more than 40 years ago. They coordinate with the town and other groups, manage dozens of volunteers, organize the town’s Christmas Basket and Blue Angels (with the schools and other Londonderry churches), meet with clients and communicate with parishioners about what the Food Pantry needs at any given time. Two generations of Doyles under them participate in all the Food Pantry efforts. They are all parishioners of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry.

The 2025 BCAF Reception was sponsored by many organizations, including lead sponsors Catholic Medical Center, Morgan Stanley and M&T Bank/Wilmington Trust. Other supporters included Gate City Electric and St. Mary’s Bank.
