Readings and Reflections for Week 4

Mary Ellen D'IntinoHow do you observe Lent?

We asked our colleagues here at the Diocese of Manchester how they observe Lent.

"I try to identify an area in my life where I am wasteful or frivolous, and change that behavior. For example, those who know me know that I LOVE coffee. Sometimes I can get carried away with buying fancy takeout versions. So, if I find that happening, Lent is a good time to discontinue that bad habit. You might not see me with a to-go cup during Lent!  I also enjoy reading Matthew Kelly’s daily Lenten reflections. The ‘Best Lent Ever’ emails arrive in my inbox every morning and are a positive way to start each day."

Mary Ellen D'Intino heads up the child safety programs for the Diocese of Manchester. Start now to prepare for April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
