We asked our colleagues here at the Diocese of Manchester how they observe Lent.
"I try to identify an area in my life where I am wasteful or frivolous, and change that behavior. For example, those who know me know that I LOVE coffee. Sometimes I can get carried away with buying fancy takeout versions. So, if I find that happening, Lent is a good time to discontinue that bad habit. You might not see me with a to-go cup during Lent! I also enjoy reading Matthew Kelly’s daily Lenten reflections. The ‘Best Lent Ever’ emails arrive in my inbox every morning and are a positive way to start each day."
