Diocesan Administration Building
August 9, 2024 was the 60th anniversary of the 1964 dedication of the Diocesan Administration Building by Bishop Ernest J. Primeau, S.T.D. The building, located at 153 Ash Street in Manchester, is now in need of significant safety, mechanical and structural compliance updates. From September 2024 to September 2025, the roof will be replaced, fire suppression and smoke detection systems will be installed, and measures will be taken to meet current occupancy code requirements. In addition, the original heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems will be replaced with modern equipment that will ensure reliant and healthy air flow throughout the building.
This work will require the temporary relocation of the Diocesan Administration Building staff. Employees will work at various locations for a one year period. The Office of the Bishop, Vicars General, Chancellor, Temporalities, Finance, Human Resources, and Communications and Development will work from 1855 Elm Street in Manchester.
Other secretariats will assume temporary locations as follows:
- Office of Canonical Affairs and Tribunal to the Parish of the Transfiguration Rectory, 107 Alsace Street, Manchester. This will provide a private location that the Tribunal’s work necessitates.
- Catholic Schools, Camps Bernadette and Fatima, Catholic Faith Formation, and Safe Environment to Cardinal Lacroix Academy, 148 Belmont Street, 2nd Floor, Manchester.
- Multi-Cultural Ministry to Saint Anne-Saint Augustin Parish, 382 Beech Street, Manchester and Saint Aloysius of Gonzaga, 48 West Hollis Street, Nashua.
All mail should continue to be addressed to 153 Ash Street, Manchester, NH 03104. It will be forwarded appropriately to the addressees.
Thank you for your patience and prayers during this time of transition.
