St. John Neumann Education Trust

What is the St. John Neumann Education Trust?

John Nepomucene Neumann CSsR was a Catholic priest from Bohemia. He immigrated to the United States in 1836, where he was ordained and later joined the Redemptorist order and became the fourth Bishop of Philadelphia (1852–1860). While Bishop of Philadelphia, Neumann founded the first Catholic diocesan school system in the United States. Canonized in 1977, he is the first United States bishop (and to date the only male citizen) to be canonized.

The St. John Neumann Education Trust Fund was established in August 2017 from a combination of generous donations, and other trusts, including the 1986 Catholic Schools Education Fund, dedicated to the advancement of Catholic education in the state of NH. This trust is for the general benefit of NH Catholic Schools, as well as providing financial assistance to students desiring a Catholic education. This year, an advisory committee has been formed to help increase the value of the trust in order to support even more students throughout the state, as well as administer the distribution of available funds.

Join the Superintendent's Society!

Membership in the Superintendent's Society is for individuals or couples that make an annual gift(s) to the St. John Neumann Trust totaling $1000 or more in a fiscal year (July-June). Please help us make Catholic education affordable, accessible, and available to all children in all corners of this wonderful state. Your contribution, no matter the size, can help us achieve this goal. Thanks in advance for your support of the St. John Neumann Education Trust Fund.
