Friends of NH Drug Courts Received $2,500 to Help Participants Be Successful

Pictured above: The Friends gathers community support so that Drug Court participants can succeed.

The Friends of NH Drug Courts seek to reduce recidivism and enhance community safety by providing treatment and community supervision for participants with chemical dependence that has resulted in criminal behavior. The Friends of NH Drug Courts support all established and developing Drug Courts in the State of New Hampshire.

The Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund provided a $2,500 grant to assist their participants with grant funding. Many of the Drug Court participants have unmet basic needs, which can negatively affect their ability to succeed. Drug Court participants often lack resources due to unemployment and lack of a strong social and family network. Small grants are provided to participants for urgent, unmet needs in the areas of housing, education, health, and work.
