Friends of NH Drug Courts Received $2,500 to Help People in Need

The Friends of NH Drug Courts seeks to reduce recidivism and enhance community safety by providing treatment and community supervision for participants with chemical dependence that has resulted in criminal behavior. The Friends of NH Drug Courts support all established and developing Drug Courts in the State of New Hampshire. Drug Court participants often lack resources due to unemployment and lack of a strong social and family network. Small grants are provided to participants for urgent, unmet needs in the areas of housing, transportation, health, dental, childcare, and other needed services. A Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund grant was provided to help the Drug Court participants with unmet basic needs, which can negatively impact their ability to succeed.
