Community Volunteer Transportation Company Awarded $2,500
Community Volunteer Transportation Company (CVTC) has been providing “no-fee” transportation since 2008 for people who do not have regular access to transportation. The BCAF grant to CVTC will support operations in providing these services. CVTC serves 33 towns across the Monadnock Region, a place with very little to no public transit services.
Through CVTC, volunteers transport people who do not have access to transportation because of their age, ability, economic situation, or other limiting circumstances for important medical and social service appointments.
Dr. Joseph Pepe, a board member for the Bishop’s Charitable Assistance Fund, said, “CVTC is providing essential transportation services in a region with so few transit options. The BCAF is pleased to support such a necessary organization.”
CVTC operates out of Peterborough but serves a majority of the Monadnock area. For more information on CVTC, please visit www.cvtc-nh.org.
