Regional “Town Meetings”
The Diocesan Catechumenate Steering Committee and Eileen Smith, the new Director of the Catechumenate, are planning informational gatherings to provide an opportunity for you to sit down with them. They would like to hear your thoughts on how they can best work together for the good of others. These meetings may also serve as a common ground to share with each other “Best Practices” - what everyone has found works and does not work in offering an RCIA process.

Prayer with the Bishop
The Office of the Catechumenate cordially invites you to prayer with Bishop Christian. This is a time for those exploring our Catholic faith to gather as we pray in community praising our God for our many blessings. The Bishop will share his reflections with us and offer an opportunity to ask questions about the Catholic faith. Everyone involved in the initiation process, candidates, sponsors, families and team members, as well as those returning to the Catholic community, is encouraged to join us on the date most convenient for you. This evening or afternoon may also serve as a wonderful RCIA session!

Please register with Donna Curran at (603) 669-3100, Ext. 173 or dcurran@rcbm.org .

Resources for Pastors: 10 Tips for Attracting New Catholics

When speaking about the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) process, some parishes say, "We do not have anyone expressing interest in becoming a Catholic."

This raises the question of how we invite people. Do you have an RCIA process in place? Is there an identified contact person who can provide information and follow-up? Are parishioners invited each year to become involved in RCIA ministry as a team member, sponsor, hospitality person, etc.? Are new or relatively new team members encouraged to participate in the diocesan workshops that support RCIA teams? Read the full article: 10 Tips for Attracting New Catholics

RCIA Coordinators Information Sheet

Many RCIA Coordinators generously volunteer their time and talent to their parishes. Oftentimes there is a change in contact information such as e-mail, address or telephone. In order to keep RCIA Coordinators current, The Catechumenate Office is requesting you to fill out an update form. You may return this form by, regular mail or fax (603-669-0377) or send the information in an e-mail to jchristopher@rcbm.org . We would appreciate your cooperation in responding by June 30 so you will not miss any important information.

The information below is provided as a resource for parish RCIA coordinators and their pastors.
