On-Call Bus Driver

STATUS: On-Call/Substitute

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under general supervision, operates a large or mini-school bus for a private Catholic high school over a designated route to transport secondary school students.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Drive a large or mini-bus over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, picking up and discharging school children.
  2. Transports students and teachers on field trips to various locations, choosing the best route and making departure and arrival time as scheduled.
  3. Inspects bus prior to operation and for safety purposes.
  4. Keeps bus clean and reports mechanical defects.
  5. Maintains order among students on bus.
  6. Follows established School policies and regulations regarding on-bus behavior.
  7. Maintains daily records on assigned route and bus operation.
