There are a lot of things to consider when preparing to marry. The list below has been condensed with you in mind, to give you just the essential information you need to point you in the right direction as you prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony in the Catholic Church in New Hampshire. - Ask, or be asked, to marry.
- Inform your “home” parish.
Connect with the pastor or marriage prep coordinator of the parish where you and your future spouse will worship together after the wedding
- Pray, individually and together, throughout the entire process.

- Prepare with your pastor or marriage prep coordinator.
You will meet for a series of sessions to deepen your relationship as a couple, to develop a more thorough understanding of the Sacrament of Matrimony and the important role faith will play in your new life together. Be sure to ask about resources on Natural Family Planning.
- Complete a FOCCUS inventory.
With the pastor or marriage prep coordinator, complete the FOCCUS inventory, which is a relationship inventorying tool designed to facilitate fruitful conversation about your relationship with your fiancé. - Attend an Engaged Couple Seminar.
A retreat-like experience which will further enrich your relationship and marriage prep experience.
