I am Looking For:

Year of Mercy

The closing and sealing of the Holy Doors cannot mark the end of our Corporal and Spiritual Acts of Mercy in our lives. The Year of Mercy may be coming to an end, however, our call to be an instrument of God’s love and mercy should pour forth every day. We need to be the signs, channels and witnesses of His mercy to those in our world crying out for help, forgiveness and healing.

Holy Doors in the Diocese of Manchester

Holy Doors Throughout the Diocese

So that a pilgrimage can be made more easily, Bishop Libasci has directed that one church within each of New Hampshire’s nine deaneries have a Holy Door that pilgrims may pass through this jubilee year. Those who make a pilgrimage to, and pass through, a Holy Door during the Year of Mercy are granted a plenary indulgence, which gives full remission of the temporal punishment due to sin.
