A new law provides scholarship support to New Hampshire families who want to enroll their children in the nonpublic school of their choice, including a Catholic school. Nonprofit scholarship organizations grant scholarships to New Hampshire children age 5 to 20 who have not graduated from high school.
Businesses make donations to a scholarship organization in exchange for a tax credit against the state business profits tax and/or business enterprise tax for an amount equal to 85% of the donation. The donations are used by the scholarship organization to grant scholarships to students.
Visit the website of the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration for a list of Approved Scholarship Organizations accepting applications for tax credit scholarships.
