“Catholic schools are a vital part of the teaching mission of the Church. This has been a proud part of the history of Catholic schools in the 19th and 20th centuries. We must continue this outreach in the new millennium”. (The United States Catholic Conference of Bishops, Washington, DC, 2005)
Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Manchester, New Hampshire have a long history of excellence in education rooted in Jesus Christ and the Catholic tradition.
The Roman Catholic Bishop of Manchester, as chief teacher of the faith, believes that students in Catholic schools must be offered and academically rigorous and doctrinally sound program of education and faith formation designed to strengthen the union of children with Christ and His church. They are to receive sound teaching through a broad-based curriculum where Catholic faith and culture are intertwined in all areas of school life.
Welcome to the Catholic Schools Office in the Diocese of Manchester. The Diocese is home to 28 fine schools, 23 diocesan and 5 private schools where over 6600 students are being formed to become Disciples of Christ and His Church.
Our schools provide an atmosphere in which students are nurtured in Gospel values and where morality, integrity, and habits of service to others are engendered. While all schools are uniquely Catholic, they are open to children of all faiths.
Our principal goal is offer parents schools for their children that are: (1) inspired by a Supernatural Vision; (2) founded on a Christian understanding of the destiny of humankind – citizenship in heaven; (3) animated by communion and community; (4) imbued with a Catholic worldview through its curriculum; (5) sustained by Gospel witness.
Many of our schools are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
