Ecumenical & Interreligious Affairs

The Bishop of Manchester is responsible for the promotion of Gospel values for all persons in New Hampshire. This pastoral commitment includes a commitment to ecumenism (relationships among Christians) and interreligious affairs (relationships with religious traditions other than Christian). The bishop seeks to promote

Christian unity by fostering the exchange of information, common prayer, and appropriate ministries between the Diocese of Manchester and other Christian churches and ecclesial communities.
Interfaith relationships between the Diocese of Manchester and the Jewish community—our elder brothers and sisters in faith.
Interreligious dialogue with believers of other faith traditions as well.
