Auxiliary Bishops of Manchester

Bishop Robert E. Mulvee served as the first auxiliary bishop of Manchester between 1977 and 1985. He then became bishop of Wilmington, Delaware and then bishop of Providence, Rhode Island.

Bishop Joseph J. Gerry, O.S.B., was auxiliary bishop of Manchester between 1986 and 1988. He then became bishop of Portland, Maine.

Bishop Francis J. Christian became the third auxiliary bishop of Manchester on May 14, 1996.
