Parish of the Transfiguration, Manchester, NH

The Parish of the Transfiguration, in Manchester, NH, seeks a cantor for our Saturday 4:00 p.m. Mass. Candidates should have the ability to read music and enjoy a variety of musical styles. In addition, a knowledge of traditional, classical and modern liturgical music would be helpful. Singing with love and enthusiasm for the Lord is a must. The cantor should be able to collaborate with the pastor and music minister. The candidate must be available for the accompanying rehearsals prior to the scheduled Mass.

Contemporary Music Group Leader
Saint Pius X Parish, Manchester, NH

Saint Pius X Parish is looking for a liturgical Contemporary Music instrumentalist and vocalist to lead a group of four (currently 3 voices and one electric bass player) and minister at the Sunday 6:00pm Mass.

The musician would preferably be a guitarist and would need to be able to lead the group by playing their instrument.

The musician should be able to sing/cantor with the assistance of the other vocalists.

The other expectations for this group leader will be to plan and run weekly rehearsals, select the music and hymns to be played and sung at the Sunday evening Mass, lead the community in actively participating musically in the celebration of Mass, and in conjunction with other parish staff develop specifically seasonal repertoires.

Organ is not currently in use, but may be in future.


  • Available for Saturday 4:00pm Mass, accompanying practices and/or rehearsals, as well as some Holy Days
  • Choose appropriate Catholic hymnody and service music for Masses
  • Coordinate with and/or accompany special musicians as appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with choir, cantors, pastor and parish staff
