The central administration office of the Diocese of Manchester seeks a part-time (typically, 10 hours/week and 45 weeks/year) Public Policy Outreach Coordinator, whose primary responsibilities include working with priests and lay leaders to promote engagement in the social mission of the Church, supporting and making presentations to parish education and advocacy groups, and planning Public Policy events. Occasionally, testimony or other advocacy at the New Hampshire State House may be required.
The ideal candidate must be organized and have strong verbal and written communication skills. A Bachelor’s Degree (or its equivalent) in English, Political Science, Theology, or Religious Studies is preferred.
The candidate must have knowledge of Scripture and the Church’s tradition and social teaching and an ability to communicate and analyze them in light of public issues. The candidate must also have the ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with clergy, religious, and laity. Camp Bernadette is a Catholic summer camp for girls ages 6 - 15. The camp is located on beautiful Lake Wentworth in Wolfeboro, NH, and is seeking a resident director. Responsibilities include preserving and promoting Camp Bernadette's Catholic identity and camping traditions while managing all daily operations of the camp. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to maintaining ACA standards; budget development and implementation; staff development, supervision, and recruitment; ensuring the safety of campers and staff; maintaining and reviewing records; evaluating programs; and overseeing the summer maintenance of all camp facilities.
Candidates must have general administrative experience, a bachelor’s degree, and be at least 25 years of age. Experience in overnight camping, as well as an ability to effectively engage young women, both campers and counselors, in a way that builds strong and healthy relationships is necessary.
